My belief that LonelyGirl15 is far from over

Along with being genuinely interested in how LonelyGirl15 will be used as a viral marketing tool, I also thought it would be fun to see how DP stacks up against YouTube, Wiki and others for a term like LonelyGirl15

My opinion of these covert viral marketing campaings is that when they work too well and spread too far too fast, before the project is ready for launch, it will likely fizzle and die well before the producers want it to. This seems to be what is happening to LonelyGirl15. Or the product fails to live up to expectations like Snakes on a Plane.

 

It does however allow the marketer to review what went right and wrong and build on this experience for a more viral marketing next time round.

I am actually seeing your site at #14 on MSN Ireland for "LonelyGirl15" but this digital point thread on LonelyGirl15 is on page three.

 

The KW with best KEI is not LonelyGirl15, it's too hard believe it or not. (at least for a forum thread or a blog page)

Those are better to target, but I think it's too late now and the teens are not converting.
