Something tells me France's refusal to Vote for the EU constitution hurt them. Good, they cost me a whole lot of money Now London gets all the traffic, the security costs, .... Hold on - maybe France won after all
Our taxes will be well spent *ahum*... Time to start thinking about ways to recoup the money. These are peeved off: http://www.nolondon2012.org/
pass the popcorn maybe they will now get the NEW National Stadium sorted which was meant to replace Wembley in the early 80's instead you got the DOME
Congratulations London. The revenue gained from tourism, advertising etc should pay back some of the money spent on developing the new olympic grounds. You also have thousands of kids all wanting to be athletes when they grow up which will save the NHS a fortune through healthier children as well as them being more productive people. Spending our tax money on this event is an investment not a cost.
It's not your tax that pays for it (London tax is raised by £20 to pay for this) But still, it is certianly a benefit.
