    Hi,

I've just redesigned a site aimed at helping new arrivals to London get themselves sorted. I'm looking for some feedback on the overall feel of the site and navigation. I'd be curious to know what you think about the ad placement as well and anything else you can think of.

I know things are a wee bit wonky in FF but nothing too bad... I'm working on that stuff. I'm also going to add a header that's not so crappy but it's not a priority just now.

    The site is http://www.stuckinlondon.com

Thanks in advance for any comments!

    Kirsty

Great content and design. I like the price convertor.

Maybe you could change the header a bit more to make it stand out. Maybe a pic (clipart) of big ben or another london landmark to the right of the logo.
or move the main container down a bit so the header is not so crammed up the top of the page.

    My thoughts:
-I'm not sure I like the domain name. It doesn't go with your theme at all really. Stuck in london gives a negative connotation to london whereas your site promotes a positive connotation.
-I don't think I like the logo size---it is way too small.
-I think you could make the far right column smaller in width. There doesn't seem to be any use for the width and your content could definitely use the extra space.

    Hope this helps...cheers

Thanks for all the comments guys. I know the logo is poop, just need some inspiration and I'll get onto it. The reason for the wide right column is to fit the Google ad and to give space to my articles and area guide indexes. It's the first time I've ever used a 2 column layout with so much space but I think I like it. I've had that domain for ages and think I'll stick with it for trust factor. I see what you mean but I don't think my target audience will be affected... London does have a way of sucking people in and people who come here to live for short periods often get 'stuck'. Not meant as negative but I see how it can be taken that way.

Any other feedback would be appreciated! More logo ideas would be great too.

    Thanks again,
    Kirsty

Very cool site. I like the way the ads flow. Not thrilled with the domain name, could be more positive, but also made me think of being stuck at that airport. I would try to make your section headers stand out more. Each section seems to run together.

    Good luck.
