my friend was clicking on his own ads from proxy servers.. but he was caught by google.. hats off google
I wonder why people think they are smarter than Big G Even if you are smart enough then do something productive rather than cheating....
Click your ads at your own peril. Never try to outsmart the google and they have the excellent manpower to track you. Be legitimate in your business and let the money be hard earned
He probably clicked his ads through the proxy and then logged onto his account to check the click each time and then he prob didnt make the page views go up higher than the clicks... I bet there is someone at google that made some sort of loophole for when he looses his job so he can sign up and make big $$$. haha
It is simply ridiculous to click on your own ads. Now he has lost a business opportunity that he could have built to a significant level Click fraud is just the dumbest thing to do
Not only teenagers those who start with adsense without any proper idea always feel they can cheat adsense by clicking own ads..I was also in that category I remember my first month with adsense
You start a thread about this with lol? I think there is nothing funny about your friend trying to steal money from Adwords Advertisers. It's common knowledge that Google doesn't just track IP addresses. They do a very good job protecting their advertisers. I do feel sorry for your friend, if he ever decides to take earning online seriously, he'll regret having done this.
Just goes to show that if you try to cheat the system you have to face the consequences... google are said to check sites with a high click through rate. The big question is, did he learn his lesson?
If you are trying to fool Google your are the biggest fool. Google records Computer Name Screen resolution browser and many other things which you even can't Imagine.
Why would he regret it? He can just sign up with another advertiser until his site grows larger then he can open an LLC and sign up for adsense again and go legit.... There is never an end, its just how much do you make and are willing to spend.... But then maybe he did himself a favor and found out that now he can concentrate on affiliate marketing and make tons of money that way..... I say to everyone, never give up...
