Ha - funny story - I've been posting on CraigsList and doing very well at it I must add - It's been getting me a lot of clients to my personal training business - about 1-2 new a week, which is a good rate for me to add business - But anyway, I managed to piss off a competitor on there - he must not like how he's not getting any calls or business since I showed up - The guy posts this on Craig's List: RETARDED Spigger Personal Trainers come to LI Reply to: see below Date: 2007-07-03, 5:09PM EDT Find these thieves at: http://www.gohardfitness.com/ They like to scam people. ... He looked up my URL and some of my forum posts have popped up I guess - now he thinks I'm a spammer - what a loser, right?
Thats competition for you, after you take their business, they get upset, so they retaliate in the only way they know how, by bad-mouthing you. What are you going to do about it!
haha - Im thinking of doing nothing - Im not going to give this character the time of day - he's not worth it.
Yup, I wouldn't fire anything back . . . it makes you look more professional. If you feel that people are taking this "threat" seriously you might want to give some kind of information on your site but be 100% professional and don't name call or swear etc. If this guy isn't a big threat just ignore him. Skinny
rather than spending effort making him look illegitimate, focus on making yourself more legit and trustworthy seeming.
Yes, I totally agree. Dont start any arguments or discussions. It can be bad for both sites/businesses.
I had a similar problem with my first aid business. The allegations were totally untrue, and prospects saw right through the lies. I think it actually helped me get more accounts. Completely ignore that person.
personally I would take this as a compliment. seems like you are doing well while he is not doing to well. Keep doing what your doing, he will soon lose interest im sure.
Yes, this guy is obviously very jealous - FYI I post in lessons and services sections - I've spent hundreds advertising in PPC without a single result - With Craig's List I get new leads every week for free - unbelievable.
I say don't respond until it becomes a real concern or someone asks about it or you hear people discussing it on the streets. Then a very professionally written note will do.
