Lokking fro VPS or server with free dedicated IP

    May be some companies provide plans with free dedicated ip addresses, but they do this to attract more customers.Actually, this is not secure to provide customers with some many free ip addresses as this may cause the appearance of spammers on the servers of the hosting provider.

    So, as far as I know top hosting companies ( like Hostmonster,Fatcow or Ipage) don't provide so many ip addresses for free. Only Hostgator provides one free ip address.

    As to get dedicated IP it requires justification and as it said the addresses are almost depleted, I can't imagine how HostGator will continue this offer.. when was that chart been last updated?

    go to hostgator probably.. They are providing additional IP at just 4$.. You might want to try them out..

    The information in the chart is the latest , WebhostingWatch offers a detailed chart.
    At Hostgator a free dedicated ip and ssl is given only to the customers of the Business plan.

    This is what I was wondering, as to get dedicated IP for free without proper justification is not possible anymore, but for businesses is available with any reputable hosting company.

    I guess this is not a problem for a customer to provide justification for the hosting company if you need the ip for free.

    nobody will give you IP address for free, or at least its price is included in the hosting package. As you know there's a limit with IPv4 addresses and that's almost reached. Though IPv6 is freely available with most providers.

    The OP is asking for a VPS, as this is the great choice for any small / medium size business to start with. A good VPS gives you almost the same features as dedicated server, but without much expenses.
