AI, PSD, EPS. *BEWARE*, many logo designers here won't offer you a true vector logo. It's important that they're in vector format, else you won't be able to use them on a lot of print design. You don't want a flat rastered image, even if they provide you with a 300dpi image. You want to be able to scale it to fit on things like billboards and not lose any quality.
