I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but is this supposed to be a logo? It seems like just text. I'd recommend to put an image next to each text, to give them a logo feel. I suppose you were trying to do the web 2.0 style on logo number 3, I'd recommend that you put a gradient on the bottom text. Here is a great tutorial that will show you how to design a propper web 2.0 logo: http://www.alleba.com/blog/photoshop-tutorial-how-to-make-a-web-20-style-logo.html Remember a Logo without a picture/shape is not a logo, it's just text. If you need some more tips, feel free to send me a PM anytime. I was new at this myself once
lol yeah i know.. that's what i meant text xD lol but the first one is kinda logo-ish lol.. The other 3 ones are just lil tries.. Thanks for the tip lol
Excellent initiative, Silence. I like how you just made a post and put your stuff out there. I have been holding off doing the same for fear that my stuff isn't good enough. I should not lose faith in the DP community. Practice makes perfect. I'm sure we'll see you in some logo contests in no time. Best of luck to you.
I hope you guys didn't think I was rude or anything, and I ask for forgiveness if I offended anyone with my post. A While ago I found a CD with all my first designs on it, I laughed my but off... it's amazing how you learn something new everyday. Back then I was really proud of them... Silence, I am proud that you had courage to come out here and and post your work. I remember how stressed I was when I started. For a beginner it's really not bad at all.... and your price isn't too much for a beginner designer. Here is some more tutorials that helped me, and that could help any other new designers (esspecially designers who want to go into the web 2.0 style) A nice big list of tutorials: http://aaronovadia.com/clients/photoshopit/web20tutorials.htm Some more nice ones: http://www.designphase.net/web2.0_logo http://www.photoshoplab.com/web20-design-kit.html http://iris-design.info/photoshop/web-20-style-buttons/ http://tutorials20.com/design/jelly-remake/ http://www.designphase.net/web_logo2 http://www.bittbox.com/illustrator/...reflection-in-vector-format-with-illustrator/ I'll also post some links soon to tutorials I'm busy writing Best of Luck! And like I said if you need any more help, shoot me a PM, I was a beginner at once, and I won't mind to help anyone to move a few steps forward with their design knowlege. I am still not an expert trust me, I just know A LOT more than I knew two years ago. Luckily I'm going to college next year!!! Yay!
