Hello guys, I have a doubt and I really hope you guys can help me out in solving my design issue. My issue is I designed a logo by using a customized text and the logo is flat. I want the customized text/logo to be curved around the edge of the circle. I know that a text can be curved around the edge of a circle but is it really possible to make the customized text/logo curved around the edge of the circle? Can anyone please give me some suggestions, please. thanks
Hi I've done a bit of that and it was quite a learning curve but I got there - it just takes patience. My examples aren't perfect, you'll be able to do better. Look for tutorials - start with "gimp curved text" and once you have text mastered look at what you can do with your logo.
I think u just made the text to be wrapped around the edge... I need a customized text type logo to be curved around the edge of a circle. @sarahk
It can take sometime but you can try this with "Envelop" Tool in CorelDraw or You can set one Graphic Character one by one on different angles.
I get that there's a difference but the skills you'll learn about creating the vector of the text and wrapping the vector around the circle are no different. Drop the logo here and I'll give you an example.
Photoshop *: Filter / Distort / Polar Coordinates * Menu choices may differ from version to version .. Regardless, the end reault will be ugly. There is no way you can warp "that" and expect to get what you expect. IMO, better make it less "attractive", but do it in vector graphics - less issues and more options in the long run.
Whoever chose that style wasn't expecting it to be wrapped where they?! @BUMROG is spot on with polar coordinates, easier than what I suggested. I'd be inclined to take that logo back to it's original font though or even start over with something that suits the client's requirements of being straight and bendable.
