Logo/website header - where to find a designer?

    Hi Folks,

I'm working on a new project for launch most likely early next year. I'd like to have a logo and the banner art work created by someone who can do it better than me. Seeing as stick figures are about the pinnacle of my design chops, it shouldn't be too hard to find someone. However I'm not sure where to look.

Any suggestions on where to look to snag someone with talent?

My last project averaged over 150k page views a month and I'm expecting this one to do better than that. I'd certainly be willing to pay for this service but I'd also like to let the artist know that their work will be seen by quite a number of people.

Where do you go to get artwork done?

    Thanks
    Ben

There are plenty of people here that are willing to the job, just be careful of the cheap ones

Hey folks - I've already gotten a couple of PMs about this - thanks for those! If you're interested in designing something for me I'm looking to pay between $30-$60 depending on what you can provide. Paypal works best for me. I'm also certainly willing to give credit to the artist for the header with links back to a portfolio or site of your choice.

However - I'm not ready to spec anything out yet as I've got some design elements to work through with the site itself. I'm not planning on actually launching this site until January of next year. If you're interested and could PM me with a link to some examples of your work, I'll keep you in mind when I am ready to go with the logo/header, which will probably be in about 3-4 weeks.

For some background, it's going to be for a geek/gaming/sci-fi fantasy community site. (Say that all in one breath, eh?).

    Thanks,
    Ben

Craigslist is becoming very popular for web design gigs. Just post an ad in the computer gigs section and you should have several replies.
