Wondering what everyone suggest in how to promote my website in local searches for our town? I dont want to spam it but would like to be listed in google.
well add your town name with your keywords + listed in Google map or so called local business centers. and do all the things for normal SEO... But you usually don't get lots of traffic with a town. Do lots of offline marketing as well
do you have to be a registered business to be on google maps we don't have an office or anything its just a website for our hobbies and supporting clubs.
Your best approach for local search would be through google maps. Of course, you do have a base of operations right?
You will have to include all your details on google map. Offline also include your site name your details on your business cards your signature, every where possible and dont forget to do all the SEO for your business too
