I added the company logo to the PayPal order pages... but now IE pops up a warning every time "Do you wish to display non secure items". It's refering to the logo image. 1) It's somewhat annoying 2) It's somewhat unprofessional 3) It could certainly become a deterint for certain uneasy online shoppers who see the words "non-secure". Does anyone know how I can get the image to show up and be "secure"? Is the format the problem? What if I used bitmap? I think it's in jpg right now. Any ideas??
Well, I have not added logos to my Paypal as yet but if they are serving from your site then it could be because of a mismatched in some contains serving through SSL and the logo did not. If you are hosting the logo then you will need to provide a SSL link for the logo too. If you do not already have a SSL installed for your site, you should consider getting one. In the Edit Custom Page Style in Paypal did state It is really not your fault as for a page to be secured, it all has to be served through SSL and your logo link must be https://www.yoursite.com/logo.jpg Yes, I do find it unprofessional but you have the power to resolve that. The ball is only in your court.
Right, your only option is to get SSL hosting(if you don't have already) and host the site including the logo there. Then you will face no issues.
PayPal is a secure(SSL) wesite while your logo is from a server without SSL certificate installed. It is recommended that you host your logo at any https(SSL Secured) website or remove it. Yup, it looks unprofessional as well..
