This contest is for a logo for a women’s clothing company called "Steel Chic" The best example of what I want is the Steelmark logo here is an example of one. http://www.flickr.com/photos/bravosixninerdelta/2140752748/in/pool-thesteelmark. What I need is the diamonds changed to hearts and the words changed to the initials “SCâ€. Feel free to get as fancy as you want with the initials and hearts. I am also open to other looks but the 3 “hearts†are the essential element to the logo. Also this logo must be elegant above all else without being too complex. Other ideas I am open to are presenting it in the form of a crest, the words "Steel Chic" written out in a fancy font or just about anything else. Requirements: - USE: Logo will be used in print media, website, and clothing. - COLORS: White background. Red, Yellow, Blue and Black (may also substitute a black background with the colors being Red, Yellow, Blue and White). - IMAGE FORMAT: Vector image is required and delivered as an .ai, .cdr or .fla file along with any fonts used. Payment by PayPal - $30.00 Thank you
Its a good start. I like the "SC" lettering in the top and right logos much better than the other one. The order of the hearts colors needs to be top-yellow, right-red, bottom-blue. I'm going back and forth on which style of heart I like better but I would be able to tell better if you paired my preferred lettering with each of the heart styles.
anidesign design 1 - I do like the fancy initials but I think putting them in each heart is overkill. Also there is something I don't like about those hearts. Also the overall design gives the illusion of a square which is something I don't want. I like a rounder look even if there is no circle to contain the design. design 2 - while I do like it, the design is not what I am looking for since there are no hearts involved design 3 - don't like the plainish blocky letters. That sort of lettering could work just not those ones you used. 3 is probably my fav of those but the lettering needs to go
anidesign- the top entries are all HOT though I think they would need to be enclosed somehow in order to fit my original vision. I'm not really digging the bottom ones. However the large one on the bottom isn't bad. cottonstella - there is something about the hearts I do not like. I think they are a bit too cartoonish if that makes any sense. They need to be a bit more sophisticated. Also I don't like the bottom left "SC" offiri0 - somehow you manage to get the simplistic effect to work for you, especially on the top two, it just doesn't seem quite polished enough. One thing I do like is that it will definately look the same printed out onto paper or a shirt the same way as it appears on my screen. too all of you don't be hesitant to go away from what I was initially thinking as it isn't carved in stone. Anidesign did a good job of this and it let me know that maybe what I originally had in mind isn't necessarily the way it will end up playing out.
IM3D not a fan of that design. Seems to gimmicky, if it were aimed towards kids I'd consider it but for this it needs to be more sophisticated. Tightwad - that isn't bad but I wonder what its going to look like without the shading on the hearts and most likely on a shirt the shading wouldn't be nearly as good as what it looks like on my screen. Also the SC seems out of proportion. I like all of the entries that gave me more than standard shaped hearts. The little starburst "ting" effect that many of you have done also catches my eye.
vivko - to be completely honest there isn't much I like about that one. Coloring looks comic bookish, There is only one heart (even if it does have 3 different layers). I also hate the bracket like things surrounding the logo. hecky - I'm not a fan of the box look. Also the coloring seems off they seem too drab, I need colors that pop. I also don't like the blocky type letters, I prefer a more elegant cursive look
Hello, Here is my entry for this contest, please let me know your thoughts. I haven't used gradients or reflections etc as you say this will be used on clothing. Best regards, VictoriaAnn
VictoriaAnn - we have actually moved away from the orange and into a bright red. I also think I want the hearts to play a more prominent role. in the design, although the color change alone may make them pop more.
