yeah that might be worth $3 depending on if you actually paid for them or not and i assume the majority of people around here don't so they don't own the rights to the stock logos anyways therefore it's an easy and unlawful $3 in their pockets. piracy is bad, mmmmkay? 8everything: how's the local market coming along? hope it's working well for you hon. glad to see you still out and about on here though i havent been around much lately. these cheap designers are flooding the forums with their shotty work and putting real designers such as yourself and I to the back of the group. everyone else: as a professional i can't spend hours on a logo only to receive $3. i can slap some text on a circle.. sure, but it has nothing to do with your company and no thought was actually put into it and there is no corporate image being conveyed at all. just people with pirated software who want to make a quick buck. do it because it's fun and then once you get good (because you aren't now and your pricing reflects that) charge people a decent price for your time. then maybe everyone wont be wanting decent work for next to nothing. sorry for ranting but this stuff really erks me. i have worked hard to get to where i am today and i will not lower my standards for anyone. have a good day and i hope i didn't piss you people off too much. -ansi
I'd give you so rep for that post ansi if I could, but unfortunately I need to spread a little more first. Couldn't agree more.
$3? Redders, you lucky bastard! You can retire now! Seriously, I usually don't attempt to do logos because of the $3.. I usually just do it so I can show it to people, show people I can make logos for .com and .net sites.. It's more of a show-off thing, then the money.
Could care one bit what ANYONE in this thread has said. I made a simple logo for the guy, got the $3, got some posotive iTrader and then got future jobs from the same member. If you don't like it - i couldn't give a [insert word here].
