I appreciate the feedback, looking forward to contest entry rankings, and #44 had been the choice concept by my partner. Her curiosity about "What are SIX WORD STORIES" peaked, when she notice the entry being crafted and submitted. She attempted to brainstorm some "six word stories", however she had trouble creating an ending. She had a beginning, a middle, character, scene, and plot, yet the ending would be open.

So, of the first four ... It is really difficult to choose. I think I mentioned that I'll be choosing 2 winners now ... The 2 I prefer as I type this are:

This is really difficult as you've all produced some varied and powerful designs!

I won't announce the outright winners till Friday ... I want to have a few friends look at the designs.

MantisArt - Many thanks for your entry. Looking at the top two designs I mentioned in an earlier post, there is a similarity - they are both "soft", have a certain "roundness" to them. Like your colour choice and idea, but have a look at the two I mention.

Here, I have a revision without the hard gradients simpler look any feedback on color combination would be helpful? Drop shadow or no drop shadow? Any greater feedback would be helpful

 

Knique - I do like your designs, and the margins between the potential winner/s and the second placers is verrrry tight!

Of the three that you present here ...

First bright blue - Nice and strong, but I'm getting bored with that colour - see it on loads of sites (perhaps there's a good reason), but ... doesn't feel correct for a story site.

2nd and 3rd colour choices .. prefer those with perhaps the third being my favourite.

What about green?

Dropshadows I like ...

 

2 new versions,

in the top one I had the logo slightly covered behind the text and in the bottom one I made it look like the logo was floating above the text that explains the shadow beneath the text

okay, drop shadows Now as for Green - Green would be a vast spectrum, it would be the largest most seen and most varied color in our spectrum of sight...lol Unlike blue and red where the difference most often completely unnoticeable...What about yellow? suppose to be the color for intellect and stimulating the mind's graphic and numeric processing areas, I will give it a shot
