I like the gears. However, what is your market,
SEO geeks or gadget geeks? Or something else?

You are probably asking the wrong people for their
    opinions.

    best regards

Yes, My target is average joes and or gadget lovers.

Kind of like engadget, but I'm going to be adding feautures that hopefully will differentiate me a bit.

I also want to ask: what don't you like about the second logo?

The second logo does not catch my eye like the first. I either see the G or the oozto (don't quite remember the letters) I do not see a single word. I would want whole word ingrained in viewers mind for branding.

With first you could use the little gear or gears as bullets or way to draw eye to to Key info. Gear might potentally look good as favicon.

    Good luck.

    Thanks very much Smyrl.

I now understand what the problem is. Working on another one.

Alrite I've merged both ideas together into this next graphic. Again which one looks better?

I thank everyone for their patience and opinions. It's very helpful.

Skinny, I wish some one else would speak up. My favorite is still the first with the last one second and middle one third. If I were going with the last one presented I think I would like a little more air between square with gear and the G. I think too much space betweet two would look funny but just a hair more.

Come on guys, don't let me be only squeeky wheel (or in this case gear to be oiled.)

Yes I noticed that after I posted that Smyrl and added some space.

I was a little lazy in resubmitting it. ;).

I like the third one best, but still don't think it's going to make me think of gadgets.

I think in general, gadgets are little "bits of technology" and more for playing with rather than being particularly useful for general tasks... try and use that.

I say forget the gears. Gears belong in Industrial Machines... gadgets are about blinking lights and shiny surfaces. Give it some flash.

I suggest looking at the name and doing something to make it easier to remember, emphasize a certain letter or something.

    G A Z O T T O

    GAZotto
    GazoTTo
    gaZotto
    gaZOTTO

    ?????

I don't know how much this will help but I hope it does. Also look at logos of other companies that your target customer will be familiar with and copy them.

    Pete.

Here is a suggestion, try the second and replace the Os with gears, add a reflection and a nice wavy white to transparent gradient with low opacity. How does that sound?

Yes, I've thought about replacing the Os with gears, but I've found that it makes it a little more confusing to read.

I have looked at other gadget blogs and like I previously said the logos aren't really amazing.

Engadget.com - probably the best, has sound or signal waves coming out of the top of the "t". I don't wanna copy them because they are the only one with that kind of logo and it'd be really obvious.

    Gizmodo.com -no logo

TechEBlog.com - has large gears faded in the background and a symbol of a circle with with a semi circle around it. ( go to the url). It too isn't to great with relaying the idea of a gadget.

Ubergizmo.com - logo is circle with U and two dots above that I'm guessing is supposed to make a smiley face.

Oh Gizmo - has a PDA behind the large text, but I'm not keen on the style.

Others simply have the text in black or grey.

This is why it's taking me forever. I don't think anyone of these hits the mark. Engadget has the signal waves which makes the most sense.

I'm sorry for going on and on about this. I want a great logo that can differentiate from the rest and it has been difficult to "imitate others", though I did try to do that ;) and kinda failed.

I gotta admit, when I hear gadgets the first thing I picture are boobies. I love boobies.

    GAZ( o )TT( o )

    ;)

How about checking out a few logo design firms online and paying them to design one for you. I did this a couple of years ago for a company of mine (now ex-company of mine) and I was pretty happy with the results, $150 and I got a logo, letterhead, business card designs...
