Logo Help: What Comes To Your Mind When You Hear: Gadgets

I've got the text but need to build a pictoral image along side it.

So I need your help once again. When you hear the word "gadgets" what mental picture springs to your head?

Inspector Gadget. Or gears.

 

Yeh, gears for me.

 

From the quick input I came up with this little logo

Again Good or Crap. I want to make this professional as possible so please spare no mercy. Compare that to the one currently on Gazotto.com.

And hey if you got any other ideas keep those coming.

from wikpedia, A gadget or gazza is a device that has a useful specific purpose and function. Gadgets tend to be more unusual or cleverly designed than normal technology.

Examples of gadgets
mp3 players
Can opener
Electric Toothbrush
Mini Vac
Blender
The Clapper
Swiss Army Knife
Remote control device of any sort (car starter, TV, garage door opener, etc.)
Cordless mouse
Sonic screwdriver
Any device that talks, like a calculator or clock
Tools

Maybe this will give you some ideas.

By the way, to answer your original quesiton, the first thing I think about is my husband! He is the gadget king!

 

Gears or something mechanical and Inspector Gadget with a magnifying glass coming out of his hat.

 

Actually I would find some *Character/Comic Artist* that could take a pic of you and incorporate all the elements you want in to that Pic...

That would give your site an *Identity*....

Took me a few days to get my guy to understand what I looked like and who I wanted *LifeTime Gamer* to look like...

 

When I read your post, the first thing I thought of was Rube Goldberg. If you are not familiar with him, check out http://www.rubegoldberg.com/ and look at the gallery section. His machines or "gadgets" were quite extensive, and probaly too large for a logo, but it might inspire you. (Look at the two little gadgets on the top of the biography page.) Hope this helps.

Man, I really hate the gears idea. Sorry, I've tried it out and it's really not working for me.

Also I checked gadget blogs and most don't have great logos.

I just don't want to draw one type of gadget because I don't want it to seem as though I cover only cell phones for example.

This is more difficult than I thought.

Maybe create a collage of a few different gadgets instead of just choosing one gadget? This will show that your blog covers various gadgets not just one. Good luck! Let us see the final logo once you finish it.

 

Hmm, well my brain went dead and so I came up with this.

Feedback would be great. What's the general feeling? I probably will darken the green of the text a bit more.

Oddly enough before I read everyone else say gears, I thought of a spring (boing, boing - that kind of spring). As helpful as a hole in the head, I know.

What about a mobius strip made out of a spring?
