Logo/Header Design - $50

Hey Guys,

I'm looking for a new header for http://www.studentpokerpro.com

The size is 896x96 and I'm looking for something that will obviously be in-keeping with the site, so something blue. Payment via paypal.

The site is designed for student poker players, and is aimed mainly at UK students ages between 18-24. Looking for something recognizeable and distinguishes the site a little better.

Also looking for something that I could brand and makes the site look a little more up to date and modern. Would like the logo to be in the header, and would also like to have the logo on a seperate psd file so I could use it elsewhere in the future.

I wouldnt mind a logo along the same lines as the one already used, like a crest, but I'm very open to all new ideas.

Contest will be open for 4 days. Looking forward to your enteries, and I will try my best to respond to all attempts and guide you along the way.

I've worked a lot with people in the past and I'm a very trustworthy guy. There are not many people on this particular forum that can vouch for me seeing as I don't frequent this forum often. However I have worked with haynesey from this forum on multiple occasions and he would be happy to tell you that I am a stand-up guy.

If anyone feels uncomfortable at all, then feel free to watermark your work.

Not really what I am looking for sorry. The design looks a little too basic. The font seems a little simple, and would want a font that really distinguishes itself on its own, like a logo within itself.

Ok I will do now according to your explaination . What about the background colour you want same dark blue or
different

 

Anything that works well with the site design, the header should fit in with the current design.

 

Just created the cards and chips from scratch, still feel as though it's a little bland.

Thanks for the effort you put into creating the cards and chips yourself, but the overall design isn't as professional looking as I would like. Not a big fan of the font and its difficult to read.

This looks nice, but it feels a bit too impersonal and a little too flashy. Its not really the style i'm shooting for on this site.

This is my favourite so far, the general design of this is what I like. Its smooth and looks good without being overpowering. I'm not a big fan of the logo because it doesnt seem to be too related to poker. But this is definitely along the lines of what I'm looking for. If people could work around this kind of idea then we will have a lot of good designs.

Looking good NsaneNoob, if you shift the text and image over and add a logo on the left it will be more what I'm looking for. Also fiddle with the font and go for something a little more unique and defining.

EDIT: Also remember that the header size should be 896x96
