    Online software such as http://www.splashup.com/ will help you to create a very simple 'filler' logo for your website. However if you have a spare $15 then I'd head down to the contests section and start a competition for your logo and you'll probably be suprised by the results.

    To start a contest just make a thread in this section of the forum. Be sure to list all the relevant information such as name, price, deadline, colours, things you want included, a brief description on what your website does, and perhaps give a few examples of logos that you like from around the internet (http://www.logopond.com perhaps)
