Logo for my site

Hey all,

I'm starting to design a webcomic site called AlkalineCandy.com / .co.uk
Dont have the domain yet.

And I've started by making the site logo/banner.

What is your take on it?

too much graphics on the design...make it more readable...

Well would it be ok as a site banner?
I could change the contast of the text to make it stand out more.

 

As a signature on forums that allow image banners in the signature, it is great!
However, for a site header it is a little too hard to read and could be a little more on the professional side.

Good job nonetheless.
