Logo Design Opinions

    Hi All,

I'm looking to redo my business's logo. My firm provides web design, search engine marketing and website maintenance services - probably with a focus more on the last two than on design, although I think that's b/c we're simply weaker in design than are we in the other two areas.

Anyhow, my current logo is getting old to me. The business is about two years old and I want to improve my branding and marketing materials (have prettier reports, proposals, etc.). The current logo is on www.ephricon.com - simple green circle design...

Here are some color schemes on a new design I've worked on. They aren't great. But I'm not a logo designer. I'm a small firm and I want it to look good. I've seen poor results with cheap logo design firms and a real big time logo designer is probably not in my price range. Here's what I've come up with:

Your opinions please? I'm trying not to overanlyze. I want something "fun" and "professional". I think my current one is too corporatey and boring. Your thoughts???

Yes I certainly do have the web designer deal. In fact, I host most of my client accounts with them too - great peeps. I even got their Designer of the Month award for August 2004 :)

Any other opinions on the logos?

another thought - you don't seem to have an "about us" page (unless I've missed it)

The do sorta look like easter eggs too :)

About Us - http://www.ephricon.com/company.asp - Its titled "About Our Company" and is the first link in the navigation. Its not particularly specific at this point in time.

I'm considering a redesign of my entire site along with the logo. The site does very well in the search engines, and I get many leads from it... but I want to also make a strong impression on the visitors with a better graphical presentation and better branding. Its just not pretty enough and too overwhelming with the text. Fortunately I'm at a point where I'm very busy, so I don't so much want quantity of leads any more as I do want quality of leads. I'm hoping to step up the level of service and offering to each customer - provide comprehensive services to a half-dozen clients rather than basic services to several dozen...

    I'd say 2,3 or 7. They're all pretty good though. :)

hello again..this is like spot the odd one out :)

can you make the logo part of the name..
where the text on the right is WHITE with a BLACK border...and then go with

    Ephricon

where the E is your logo...
and the phricon is coloured/white text with a black outline

    just typing out loud...

Well, I'm trying to hopefully go with one of these existing ones - since the logo is already created and now its just a matter of picking a color scheme. I'm not too excited about starting all over with another design... All in all do most people seem seem to think this design is reasonable? I was hoping to establish something a bit more "fun" , "colorful" and slightly more "interesting" than my current logo, which I fear is too boring and I don't like how its only one color...

    i dont get it.
did i miss the part where you really have some diverse options to choose from?
all you are doing it tweaking the colors.
that doesnt leave much to comment on about the logo "design".
colors are subjective...so all you are going to get is peoples opinions about their favorite color.
how about really showing some true different logo design ideas?
    get aggressive.
heres some company logo designs that i did for some of my clients.
    :)

Any free logo design donations will be accepted and reviewed. :D In fact, I'll even give you a nice fat one-way text link from my PR 6...

Unfortunately the only reasoning here is that I am not an artist, and simply could not come up with any other designs that I thought looked acceptable. This was about the best I could do. I tried a cheap logo design company that I've used in the past but none of their designs looked any better, and they aren't much for revisions.

Seriously though, if anyone does come up with a nice logo design for me to use I'd be willing to chat about returning the favor via a little SEO, links, etc.

    here's mine, :)

apparently the forward facing triangle is the sign of a progressive company,
as opposed to a rear facing one.

    here
...and the 'E' is recognizable by itself.

I'm at it again. I had someone come up with some more designs - this time actual different designs rather than altering color schemes on the same design.

    Thoughts on A-1 through A-5???
