Contest Logo Design extended! Winner gets $35

EDIT: we're extending this competition by 48 hours and raising the prize money to $35! There have been a few good logos submitted but unfortunately haven't quite met our standards on creativity. We were really looking for more than a dota logo slapped together with a basic font. We're very excited to see what creative ideas you guys can come up with.


Hi all,

I'm looking for someone to create a logo for a new site which will run tournaments for the game DOTA 2 - http://blog.dota2.com/?l=english

The the text required in the logo has to be DOTA 2 Champs

The game is a fantasy style game so the logo should reflect that along with the style of the DOTA 2 logo. Additionally it should reflect the fact that tournaments will be the focus of the site.

I would like the logo to delivered as a layered psd and/or .ai file .

The contest is only 72 hours, so get your submissions in early!

Some great logos coming in already.

Here's some feedback for you all, a lot of you are using the Dota 2 logo in your designs, to avoid copyright issues please refrain from using the actual logo, we'd like something "inspired" by the existing look and feel of the Dota 2 logo, NOT something that incorporates it.

@onlyfights this one is currently our favourite, but as stated above, the logo is a just skewed version of the Dota 2 logo, it looks too similar and may cause copyright issues down the track for us.

@Cristi09 we like the design but the number "2" inside the trophy seems to imply that it's for "second place" which is not the message we are trying to convey through the logo.

@Roro[DN] Nice concept, I fear that the shield may be too detailed.

@Rama Satya this may be a bit basic for what we are looking for

@Skaritza, @akhilrs and @evodesign, similar feedback for all of you, as above, you're using the existing Dota 2 logo which is what we're trying to steer clear of, we want it to be inspired by the look and feel of the existing dota 2 logo, not a carbon copy of it.

Great work everyone, we're excited to see what else you come up with!

@onlyfights, that's looking pretty good, maybe in the square you incorporate the outline of a trophy, some medals or a 1st,2nd/3rd place podium do get the feeling of "Dota 2" and "tournaments" in one?
