Contest Logo design contest for drilling company - $35 to winner

Need a logo for a new company called Eurodrill - $35 dollars to winner

They are a European company involved in drilling. The clients brief is:

"The O in Eurodrill will be a segmented diamond drilling bit (similar to the attached image) with a star in each segment ( like the European flag). Blue and white are the preferred colours with gold for stars. I thought lower case letters"

Using the image and stars as per the clinets brief above may not work as it might too small and confused to use. If this is teh case, please feel free to come up with other concepts - it must however have the segmented drilling bit and the gold stars.

1. Logo runs for 5 days (will extend if required)
2. No clipart/copyright images please - original designs only
3. Logo must be suitable for web and print
4. Winner will be paid via Paypal
5. If no suitable logo is found, we reserve the right not to appoint a winner

Hello,here is my entry. I have two questions though:
-you wish to have a logo separated to the text,or a typeface logo,with the logo included in the text?
-you want a simple and clean looking design or complicated and fancy?

I would appreciate if you can answer these two questions and give me some feedback on my design.

Thanks for the design. It looks pretty good. I'll forward to client for his comments. In terms of your questions, he has no real set ideas of what he wants. He comes up with various ideas vut think he is looking for some creative input from you guys.After all you are the designers, not him.

He does however like the attached logo which he found. He says:

"Some thing like this logo would be good. Below is drilling rod with bit would be better as one piece, (not coming in from the R) and exchanging c for an e in logo above, maybe we could check the diamond segment bit going around logo on top of name."

Also he quite likes this font: amsi pro narrow ultra, upper case

Thanks for making that revision. If psossible the client would also like to see a version with a drilling bit on middle of the 'e' inside the 'o' (similar to the ones attached). Hope that's OK
