Do you like any of these fonts? Also, if the red callout is too reminiscent of flicr or any other design posted here, I will modify it. I just can't keep track on a slow modem connection.
I've narrowed it down to entries by: --brainstormingin --altaf --xpressions --prospeareht I have also raised the payout to $51 because I have been running everyone through the ringer to get a logo I'm satisfied with. IF anyone is still interested they can make the following changes and I will either pick a winner or narrow it down to entries by 2 artists. IF I end up choosing 2 artists' work for the 'showdown,' I'll raise the prize to $57. One change, for this round, will be that all 5 letters of the logo will be in one color. I am afraid the different colored one-letter resembles flickr too much. My other concern is that the letter "g" looks too much like the number "9" when isolated for the favicon. So choose an font like is presently used on site or something that DOESN'T look like the number nine....
Thanks. Here are the revisions on a gray background with favicons. I know you wanted one color because the one colored letter reminded you of flickr, but I did something a little different with the coloring:
altaf, you might want to make the logo "g" a little smaller (but not touching the letter "l" next to it). Regarding the rectangle 16x16 favicon--can you remove the rectangle border? This might allow the "g" to be a little larger and more discernable.
brainstormingin, Do you want to enter one that has the font you used in http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=1983425&postcount=67 for the "lurb"--but keep the "g" you have in http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=1988351&postcount=69. Use a rectangular bubble. Please drop the shadowing. Use the color scheme found at: http://www.peachheadfamilies.com (use a peach color for the logo, the yellowish color for the bubble, and a dark-green for the "everything local". Thanks.
