Hi folks. I am looking for a design that is clean and simple--not flashy. Just create a great logo for this site/domain: link All 5 letters of the logo should be in lower case. The logo is for a community forum/gallery site. The site should have a light, warm feeling (not comical, though). Hopefully there will be more friendly and informative posts than negative, bashing posts. So the logo should help promote the 'friends and neighbors' atmosphere. The slogan: everything local Be sure that it is evident that the logo is the domain and NOT “everything localâ€--which is just the slogan. The winner will deliver: 1) original vector file (.ai and .psd)-- (winner to send original layered files and fonts) 2) web formats: .gif & .jpg 3) Favicon for first letter in logo in both sizes: 32x32 and 16x16. Contest ends December 23, 2006 at noon CST. I will pay via paypal. Thanks. EDIT: I'm not sure why the link isn't clickable...click to the right side of it.
Hello altaf. Thanks for your entry. I don't feel that it conveys the feeling of the site. Also, to me, the "g" is somewhat hard to discern.
I think you are closer, than the previous entry, to depicting the 'theme' of the site. Still, the "g" is not quite right. Also, I think it is still hard to separate which text is the actual domain name.
Here's another attempt - is it better? I made the G a different font and made the "everything local" text smaller so it's easier to discern what the domain name is.
brainstormingin, thanks for taking the time to enter. Your entries are quite clear. May I ask, why the pink-purple colored "r"?
Hello paige, the callout/balloon is a nice touch. You may want to try for a less 'flashy' font--but keep this entry around.
P.S. I would have replied to these entries earlier but I didn't get notified of the replies--yes I'm subscribed to this thread.
It has the same filename so it updated the previous image. The last one had a different "g" and larger "everything local" text.
Just to add a touch of web 2.0 style Just like http://www.flickr.com/ I can remove it if you dont like.
Don't forget that the 5 letters of the logo should be in lower case. You might want to try a different font....something a little more inviting/warm/friendly.
