We are holding a logo/icons contest for our directory called Surfin Directory. It can be found at http://www.surfin.com We are wanting the logo to be something like a lcd screen with a wave coming out of it and a guy surfing on it. We are also wanting icons for each of our top catagories which there are 14 top catagories. We will give the winner 1 free featured link on our directory (a 19.95 dollar value) and 2 free regular links on our directory (a 9.95 dollar value each!) You may also choose either 2 featured listings or 4 regular listings.

I think your going to have to give more than a few links for logo design. Getting a professional logo design is important for any business, as it is the focal point to your website. Rather than going cheap - offer serious money and I'm sure you'll get serious designs.
the problem is to be honest, I don't know what the going price is for graphics so if anyone wants to leave a price here for what I'm asking go ahead and do so! If I like it, I'll hire ya Thanx!
I’m currently going though the same thing and will possibly have a contest offering $100 plus a write on my PR5 Blog up for the winner 2nd & 3rd place, plus add them to my signature for 2 months. I think if you do something similar to this you should get some very good logos to choose from and you don’t have to do them all.
