Martyn, I am sorry to dissapoint you but I think I am fixed on the idea of having a simple thumbs up icon with a white and red colour theme. However, I really like how you somehow balanced everything and I want to ask you for a quote to actually do an ad for me (A4). Afterall, this thumbs up icon will be used in a simple one page ad. Let me know if I can send you a pm in regards to this. Your icon looks good and it's stylish and pleasant the only problem is I am fixed on this simple red/white scheme.

DaveyBoy,I just negociated. I only had to wash one tray and I can do the rest later. She's pregnant at the moment and she can't wash because the smell of the dishwashing liquid makes her sick (or so she says). I don't know why I have this feeling your turn will also come a little sooner than you think.

TightWad: thanks for this. It looks good and you almost fully grasped the idea. I was hoping for the city name to be next to the icon not on top of it. Nevertheless, the way you did it is also ok as it is an interesting concept.

I think I just need to wait for tsoft and TheAge then I will announce the winner. Then again, Martyn may become the dark horse in this race.

Yes Dr, dishes. You'll also find out after you say "I do". Here's a tip: after you get married remember the wife has to have the last word ALWAYS. Anything after that is the beginning of a new argument.

@TightWad: looking good. Also I meant to mention it earlier, thanks for paying attention to my instructions and getting rid of some of the lines. The hand definitely looks better now.

Good try with the dishes, but it was meant to come to an end. My mother always told me: "Julian remember, a lie has very short legs. It never gets too far." My mother was right.

Ah, was trying to get this up a little earlier, but my internet has been playing up:

The only difference between the icon in the first and the rest is the subtle gradients.

I made the hand a little larger, if you still think it looks a little too 'feminine' I can increase the size.

    Hope you like 'em :)

Thanks TheAge. They all look good. I think the hand is ok. Sometimes I get too picky by overanalysing everything but definitely the hand doesn't look too feminine.

Does anyone know what part of the world tsoft lives in? I'm thinking to ask him whether he'll place another submission in (or maybe not).

Hi proteindude, what kind of revision do you need? If it's the hand's orientation, maybe I can't submit another entry since I will redraw it again and will require time.. If it's the text, that would be pretty easy..

tsoft: how long would you need to redraw the hand (change hand's orientation)? I am only asking because I am not a designer and I have no idea how hard/easy it is to do my request and I don't want to waste your time.

I'm not really sure.. I can't commit today since I have other things to attend to. I managed to change the text though. :) Here it is.

Tsoft: thanks for the reply and the new font. It looks good. I can't wait for more revisions because I need to have this done as I need it for an ad which I kind of need in a hurry.

I will look again at the entries I received and I am sure in less than an hour I will have not only a winner but a paid winner and a paid second place as well.

Well done to winners :) How come every contest Julian runs hits at least 150 replies? Is it because there are many, many entries or because it's impossible to shut the guy up? ;) Either way, a nice result again!
