LOGO contest, winner gets $30

    Hello guys,
It's proteindude again. I need a new logo. I am tormented about my logo. I run a contest and got great entries, only to wonder about the direction I was going: I wanted something highly visible and simple.
After the contest was over I started wondering: would I be better off with a different direction? I was thinking about my slogan called world class proteins and that got me thinking: should I incorporate a globe somewhere?
So if anyone is interested here's what I need:

    -I need a logo called proteindirect.com.au

-I want the primary colours to be red and white (I would be happy with just one colour - that would be red)

-I want something simple and stylish

-I would like a globe incorporated somewhere instead of the o in protein or somewhere near words proteindirect

-I want it to look professional and to look appealing to the mainstream (preferably not too web 2ish)

-Although not necessary, I would like my slogan to appear together with the logo. The slogan is world class proteins

-The winner gets $30 paid via paypal or moneybookers The winner will have to submit the logo in vector format

    any questions just ask

Just wanted to clarify one thing: I was very pleased with the entries I got in my last contest. The only problem, being Mr Twisted, after it was all over and I started thinking of my slogan, I decided on "world class proteins"

This got me thinking, if I want a "world class" thing maybe I should look for something more stylish with a globe in it. I am not running this contest because I wasn't happy with the entries in the previous one, but only because I want to try a different direction to see if this new direction meets my needs better (if I sound twisted that is because I am :) ) But at least I can put my mind at ease knowing I tried this approach also by trying a different angle.

Whoops. You can tell I am not a designer. I thought vector format is some term/name for being able to change the size of a picture/text without losing the clarity

If someone can clarify what I mean (what the proper term is) that would be great.

Now I look like a real dope. As I pressed send tomeek was one step ahead of me and answered the question. On a second thought, seems like I got it right after all.

yeah vector format is when an image can be adjusted to any size, but i think you need to use illustrator for that. as for the text. i think changing the file to 300dpi would be good enough for high quality large text images.

I'm interested in this. I cannot make you a design until later on tonight, though.

This is a real cool one Speno. Maybe just a touch too dark, I am not a big fan of the black colour. It looks good and it's heading towards the right direction. I will be running this contest for a few days so don't need to hurry (unless you're going to Spain again).
I would like it a little sharper though, a bit more professional or conservative looking. But it's a really strong one and pleased with it.
Let's see how the others are doing before I ask you to modify it.

No problems. I am not in a hurry. Besides, I will be off to bed soon as here down under we seem to be "more advanced" than anyone else when it comes to the time.

Yeah, I was going to say you look a touch darker after coming back. I will ask you for the changes once I get closer to making up my mind. Otherwise I think it will be unfair to ask you to make changes if I don't think your logo is what I am after. But from what I am seeing it certainly looks good.

This is a very nice design. The "problem" is the name of the logo is proteindirect.com.au The .com.au is missing from your submission. The slogan "world class proteins" can be separate. I like the wat you placed the slogan though.

Again it's too early to ask you to do changes if I don't choose your design. But one thing I want to do is I want to give feedback. The concept looks very good. The only downside is I don't like the globe you chose: it looks a little too common even though it is a very stylish one. And the only other thing I don't like about it is that pink around the circle. Other than that it is a very stylish, very good looking logo.
