Contest Logo Contest - Pet Imports - $40 Paypal Payment

Hi Folks,

It's been a while since my last logo contest but I now need a logo for a Pet Supplies / Import company named 'Pet Imports'. At this stage I'll leave the design and colors open to hopefully encourage some unique designs. Once I get a few entries I'll try to narrow it down a little to help steer people in the right direction and more inline with what I need the logo to look like.

There are no real requirements aside from these points below:

Ideally something with a dog or pet mascot included
After a clean and polished look (at least I think I am), although a fun style logo could possibly work with the above mascot.

As mentioned above $40 US Paypal payment to the winner, will offer feedback and advice as often as possible. Thanks and be creative. Should be a fun project!

Thanks for the quick entries guys. Unfortunately this is not the path I really want to take. Think more along the lines of coming up with a nice font style for the name and then trying to work a single dog mascot into the design. Something which came to mind was to have the mascot with its paws on the top name or perhaps even having the mascots head coming out of the 'O' in Imports. I have a pretty basic design I worked on myself, I might post that up a bit later if we're not heading in the right direction. Keep the entries coming and I'll do my best to help with feedback.

 

What size logo ?

 

Ideally you'll need to supply in vector format where possible so that I can scale the logo to fit my usage. As I'll potentially be using this logo on a website I would say they'll need to be at least 400 (w) x 200 (H).

Hi Syahriel, thanks for the effort and despite using a recognized and obviously trademarked character this is not what I'm looking for. Some of the PM's I've recieved are a lot closer to what I'm after but please keep the entries coming as I'm sure there's some more creative ideas out there.

Hi Demonic thanks for the entry. Although I'm not really feeling this mascot design at least the text is heading in the right direction (I don't mind the layout and font) as it has a bit more style than some other entries. Feel free to try to improve on your design. A bit of colour, gradient or highlight on the text might help, along with a different mascot design.

 

You want more cartoony, cute dog mascot or something more realistic and serious? Be a little bit more specific

 

What you have there is actually not too bad but it may work better with a different mascot, or it may not. Different colours might make a difference, the background colour is not doing the design any favors as it's detracting from the logo itself.If you change mascot yes please stick with something cute and friendly. If you need more advice feel free to PM me. If I had to choose a design thus far this would be it. That said, I'm sure there's more concepts out there.

Pehulz and Chris thanks very much for the submissions. I'll speak to both designs at once as they're both are not what I was hoping for. As mentioned in the comments earlier I'm looking for more interaction between the wording and mascot. The mascot needs to be cute and make people feel warm and good, it is a pet after all (I'm thinking dog as that's the most common pet).
