Revised - More definitive feathers in the duster, larger to stand out more, & Black back drop to complement contrast
I have no intention of offending anyone, but I see no reason why only the CH should leave his or her opinion. The risk that the combination of the two feathers and a coat of arms won´t look at least slightly silly is zero. For the very simple reason that they represent opposites that don´t mix: something timeless, powerful, male vs. something 100% common, banal, (female, maybe). If you work with these elements nevertheless, the name and the feathers should be recognisable when scaled to a size that can be used on banners or letterheads (> 100 pixels). Everything that isn´t distinctive at that size anymore has to be eliminated. If the business is using fax or wants to use the logo universally it has to work in B/W respectively monochrome. So the only workable solution for the feathers is outline + centerline, width 2 or more That´s it.
Just to show the concept is 100% Lines/Paths Vector - Here is the original paths Draft before the color fill.
Because I´m 100% evil, I´ve come up with something that isn´t even supposed to win. First advice: drop the tagline. Noone looks up to a company like this or rolls out the red carpent but simply expects it to get the work done, unnoticed and discrete. Tried to reduce the feather as much as possible, so one hopefully also might have the association of a bird´s tail or a rising sun: some beautiful and fresh opposed to dusty coats of arms. Feel free to think of it as unprofessional as you like, but from my point of view something like this is the way to go: abstract, usable, unique, at least vaguely smart.
I agree, an update would be nice, it's been a few days now since the CH said they would leave more feedback.
