Contest Logo Contest - 1st: $40, 2nd: $10 (4 Days)

Hi guys, I really admire the work a lot of you have done on logos. I will be sure to give constructive feedback on every piece submitted. The logo will be used on this website theme (http://themes.contempographicdesign.com/?theme=realestate3), letterheads and cards so if it needs to work on white.

Name: Colombia International

Brand: We are in Bogota(helpful images of Bogota), Colombia, we are international, we are professional, but not stock-image-of-female-and-male-in-suits-shaking-hands professional, we are personal. We are residential, commercial and corporate. We make things simple for foreign buyers who come to Colombia. It´s a generic name but a unique brand.

PLEASE DON´T USE A HOUSE IN THE LOGO
House designs like the one in 9/10 real estate logos aren´t even in Colombia, and we are much more than that.

Keywords: trustworthy, well established, strong, professional, modern, simple, international, passion, fortune 500

Colors: I like blues and charcoal greys for the corporate feel. Yellow blue and red are the flag colors but are difficult colors to work with, only go this route if you can pull it off.

Winners: $40 for first place, $10 for second place. Paid by paypal immediately. Source files required.

Thanks for your submissions so far, here is my feedback:

Ellensmith: Too 90´s clip art and word art for me. If the world was more vector, it would help, but probably still generic. Remember, the name is generic so the logo needs a strong personality.
SquidGFX: Photo doesn´t seem to work, and the title gradient makes it appear dated too. Again, the design doesn´t make a statement.
Florin: I see where you are going with the retro logo and light-hearted font, but this would be more suited to a light-hearted blog about colombian real estate as opposed to a large real estate company.
Nelutu: You have the best one so far. I prefer the vector version over the 3D. I love what you did with the flag, and the typography is great. Am considering how the Text part could be used by itself, or with a smaller, more uniform, logo.

Here are some logos in the industry that I like. Notice they create a feel that is all-encompassing, corporate and professional.

Animman: Great work, definately a contender.

Ellensmith v2: Cubes are ok, but colors are so-so and the font is not appropriate.
Ellensmith v3: The differences in the fonts are distracting and the image to text layout comes across odd.

Nelutu v2: You´ve got the colors and text perfect, the building in Anammans I prefer more (less clip-arty), but with the sun of yours.

johnrossgd: Its good, it would work for some people I think, for me, I don´t get it.

I used one of the church like building that was shown on google images link you provided for the base of this logo. The church building is redrawn.

UPDATE: I´ve just been informed by my accountant the logo must read Colombia International. It´s a minor change to the logos that you guys have done so far, so there is no need to re-do those. Please use Colombia International for any logos from now on. I have updated the original post.

Nelutu: Can I see the gold version with the graphic to the left? (with International too) It seems like this would look great on white and yellow backgrounds
