Hi Friend, Thank you for the Feedback. Here's the requested color scheme variations. Please tell me what you think. Mark
Just wanted to tell you that they are using your logo on the site. Have you been declared as winner here?
@johndavis74 can you please reassure us that the designer has been advised of the contest win and paid For a site that sells "Social Media Marketing & Online Reputation Monitoring" I'm sure you can appreciate that disgruntled contest entrants don't make for a good online reputation. Oh, and who is Anthony Flammia?
Well yes he was paid for the logo and he sent me the file and editable photoshop file for the logo via PM but to be blunt it is really none of your business. I left the content running in case I found something I liked better.
I confirm that johndavis74 paid for my entry and I have sent him all the files. He is a good contest holder and he just wanted to see if he gets something better, in order to purchase another one too. Thank you all for this support, I really appreciate!
Unfortunately, we have had problems with contests in the past where the artwork has been used and the designer hasn't been paid. It has become a standard practice to announce a winner so that designers know what is going on. You can still request additional entries but when people view the site they'll understand. Thanks for updating us.
I understand but there is a professional way to go about that and then there is a rude and unprofessional way to do that. So instead of simply sending me a private message or a posting asking if a winner had been paid you post: "For a site that sells "Social Media Marketing & Online Reputation Monitoring" I'm sure you can appreciate that disgruntled contest entrants don't make for a good online reputation." As a staff member here you would think you would have more common sense than to make a rude comment implying that I have a poor reputation.
@johndavis74: Regardless of what you may think, it is UNprofessional to have a contest and NOT to keep the contest entrants updated when one accepts an entry. In my book, it amounts to THEFT, and most people do not like thieves.
So explain to me how that is theft that I didnt end it because I was still looking for more entries? I did contact the one I bought the logo from as well as several others who had good designs but the contest was not completed. You are just a jerk who likes to bitch about things.
It APPEARS to be theft because you did not PUBLICLY post in your PUBLIC contest 1) that you had a winner, 2) that you had paid the winner, & 3) that you were keeping the PUBLIC contest open for more entries. For all that anyone knew you had NOT found a winner and were still looking. By not keeping the contest entrants apprised of what you were doing and what you wanted, you were in effect stealing from them. To be blunt, when you hold a PUBLIC contest, it is EVERYBODY'S business.
