If you could tell us what the "one reason or another" is for each design, perhaps we can fix them for you.

If you dont like the design, its a good idea to give feedback so you can get what you want. Also, $50 is a little low for a logo contest, so I guess you get what you pay for.

Ok... Take a look at this design.
This is almost 100% the same as a previous design that i said i DIDN'T LIKE but the designer has re-coloured it to match the colors i like from a different design.

By simply changing colors on a design does NOT MAKE THE DESIGN A GOOD ONE.

As for the poster saying '$50 is small and you get what you pay for' well i have not twisted anyones arm to post ... this is the first time i have run a comp like this and to be honest its not worked.

This comp is now closed - thanks to everyone ... will update the thread in the near future.

im happy to give personal feed back but i dont really want to be negative about your designs, To be honest the only design i thought was anywhere near being professional is by 'tevlar' ...

Most designs looked like they had been put together using MS Paint or some other free application.

Most graphics looked like they had been downloaded from clipart sites - recoloured and then put behind my company name.

I guess you are right ... you get what you pay for ...

The only way to get a design to be better is by providing feedback. You can express what you like or don't like about a specific design without putting forth a "negative" tone. You can even indicate if the direction is wrong in it's entirety. At the end of the day, you are the one that needs to be happy with the final product, and art is very subjective (to each his own), however, I for one consider ALL of my designs to be extremely professional, whether you like the concept or not.

    Hi Xpressions,

I totally agree and im not saying that any here is NOT professional but i have tried to say and drop lots of hints that the type of designs are not to my liking and that i didnt think they gave the type of professional image i want to create ! I even suggested some urls of company logos i liked and still no one took any notice? did you?
If i look at the design below it is not of the level of the supplied urls .
Im not saying its a bad logo but more to the point that its not on the level im looking for.

If you now take a close look at the supplied logos in this thread and tell me if any match the supplied urls ?

The only demo logos that got close (in my eyes) are the logos by trevlar ... and im hoping to work with this person.

I don't mean to slate anyones design but in my eyes the logos were not of the standard that i have seen in other competitions placed in this thread.

I will continue to differ with the point of "professional". Whether you like the style or concept or not, the logo still remains professional. With proper feedback, it would have been yet a better solution. I will not debate this anymore, I just needed to post it so it remains historical and I wish you the best in your future endeavors:

Just to post a quick opinion. I liked alot of the logos people and I think there were alot of usable professional logos out there. As far as the one chosen I felt it was a bit plain i mean its nice but basically a square with some text and one plain image. I think way to much work goes into contest graphics then its realy worth. The amount of hours used for these images is worth alot more then $50. Just my opinions of course! I think I've had my fill of contests, best to build a portfolio and get customers that way, good luck to you all.

I think that you wanted a professional logo but the first thing you said about the logo is it needed to be for a ebay shop. This was confusing because ebays graphics are fun and professional. The name bid up holidays also doesn't sound to professional. It isn't like expedia or travelocity its more like cousin bobs tractors and everyone was trying to make it look as good as they could.:D

I do want to add though that expressions logo does look as professional as your examples, objectively speaking.
