I do professional consulting and have started doing more website jobs lately. I am not a fan of using public forums when requesting design contests and would prefer to use a private/non-indexed forum for security reasons.

I am in need of good designs that would like to have the chance to win $40-100 per logo and $100+ per page design. I will be hosting contests on a weekly basis and will notify you via e-mail of the upcoming tasks. Please PM me your e-mail if you are a designer and would like to join my consulting gig.

    Thanks!

Doesn't sound very promising tbh. So we are taking the risk of spending several hours on a design and it not even being accepted? With how many people would we be competing?

I am sorry if you feel that way, but this is an opportunity for your design to be featured on fairly decent websites that are starting up on the internet.

You would be up against between 6-12 other people in these contests.

I'm just saying, it takes most designers several hours to do a decent job on a design, and it would be a lot of wasted time to then have their design turned down, wouldn't it be better to run a competition to find a good designer who you could then contract for all your future work?

    JH,

I see what you are saying, but I don't feel the same way. Hiring a "graphics designer" is the same as hiring an artist. Each has their own perspective and design preferences. Having many options and perspectives of a design is much better than "one individual". I hope that makes sense.
