Please note this is my first flash attempt, and biggest thing in photshop I have done.

Header: Please note this is not the size shown on the site. It is smaller, and the right part when it gets bigger at the end, that is also NOT seen, so you can ignore tht.

I dont like the static image part of the left of the header, but I really do not know what else to do at this point. I also do not like the size, I feel 290 even though most my users are on broadband(and it takes me about 5 seconds to load) can be a turn off.

As for the logo, I took the 3 cigs from other images I had and didnt know how to make them stright(one went from bigger to smaller to imitate distance and that is noticeable in it.

    Any suggestions on improvements?

Also the text for the CEC was done following a tutorial. I actually like how that turned out.

The 'text effect' is kind of cool as a Photoshop experiment, but that sort of thing shouldn't be used in professional logo design.

I suggest making the logo cleaner, and not using real pictures such as the one below CEC.

Perhaps you could make a graphic, rather then using a picture.

I agree maybe alittle less effects on your logo , have it look cleaner or something, also maybe turn down your hue/saturation or something on the left image its almost too bright not sure what but it almost doesnt look real. Maybe a night time image? More lights less color possibly.

Thanks, Ill try that. The full picture looks better, but it was not resizing well to that size, so I had to crop out some parts. I will play around with what you suggested. I initally did go with a nighttime image, but I didnt care for that one or the others I found.

My main problem with design is I lack the creative part. Which is why I never really got into it. Wish I had it but I dont :(

the logo doesnt look professional enough for me.
Also the header stretches on my 1440x900 screen so it reduces clarity.

The flash itself is decent, but as other have said, the logo doesnt look very profesional, you shouldt use real images for the logo, it will usually look quite bad.

I do like the text but sharpen up your images - you can get away nowadays with 90% quality on most things that size

The Flash header that you showed isn't professional. Kinda old n skewed. Try to get different images and retry, should work for you.
