My blog has had the same logo ever since I started it over 7 years ago. I don't think it's so bad, but it's definitely outdated and due for a change. The designers over at Emske.com have come up with 3 logo concepts for the refresh. Which do you like best and why? https://jobmob.co.il/blog/vote-for-the-new-jobmob-logo-branding/ Thanks! Jacob
Not at all. The speech bubble one is just the cutest. The briefcase one is good and with a bit of work could actually be the winner but it's not quite there. I honestly didn't understand #3
Got it and thanks for clearing that up. It looks like previous voters pretty much think the same thing.
Thanks, that was the winner. Now there's a round 2 based on variations of it: what do you think now? https://jobmob.co.il/blog/round-2-vote-new-jobmob-logo/
Which browser are you using? In Firefox and IE 11, everything looks ok. Sometimes you need an extra refresh, there's an issue with my server that needs fixing.
7 years without changing your logo is so long man. I actually like the three concepts. The first one seems more professional but the second one seems more modern.. and the third one's also good. I will go for the first one too.
I like concept 2 the best because it looks professional and simple. The icon is nice to look at. The suitcase works well with the theme. Maybe change the typeface so that it fits the icon because the icon has soft edges. Find a typeface that has soft edges.
I think I like concept 1 the best. It's simple, builds on your current logo, but brings it into 2015. The reason why I don't like the other two is because the second concept uses what looks like a small briefcase. What does this mean? I don't think it adds anything. The third again uses a strange looking design that I imagine is supposed to represent a person. Instead I see i'l, literally, and it looks like a typo of i'll. Not sure about that. But perhaps it's just me. Concept 1 is great though!
7 years is a long period of time indeed. I bet that during this time you've attracted certain audience and some of them have been with you from the very beginning. This means they got used to your original logo so changing it much would ruin "the legacy". This is exactly why the first concept is the winner. It saved the recognizable part of your old logo with that text bubble which serves as "o". Talking about choosing between two other variations of the first concept, if I got it all correct, I like the second one better (the one with blue font). Why? For the same reason - the color resembles the old logo but brings a refreshed palette at the same time.
