Hi, How would I develop something that could Login to an external site from my site.. then grab some data from a selected page.. then feed it back to my website. It can be done. The only way I can think of doing it is using a proxy that then grabs the data and feeds it back to my page. What would the best option for me? how would I start? Someone point me in the correct direction?
Hmm which kind of data and which kind of site would you like to link with? I suppose that the other site is also yours, is it?
you can try with curl. u need to setup some login parameters , session in curl and try to fetch that site contents
You can do this quite easily with cURL, however if it has captchas and it is not your site it will be extremely difficult if not impossible for the average coder. If it is your site and it has captchas you can still access it, but will need to setup another login page that is hidden and locked down with a $_get variable then use that for your cURL function.
