Do you keep a record of all the free directories that you submit to?

I keep a record of all submissions that i make, but thinking i may not bother logging the free ones, but dont want to end up resubmitting to ones ive already used.

Do you log it all or just when you submit to paid ones?

At one time I did keep the confirmation emails for free directory submissions, but I stopped doing that and no longer keep a record of the free directory submissions.

i used to keep a record of my submissions, both free and paid, but later i stopped as most free directories stop working after some time, changes it to blog, deletes listings without reason, so its just too much work to keep checking the records and keep it up to date.

Though i search the directories before submission to avoid duplicate submissions most of the time!

Hire someone to do it. It's all out of the way then, and you usually get an excel sheet with a record of the directories submitted to.

Thats what i found, lots not as dirs shortly afterwards.

I most likely will in the future, recently became aware of my time spent on certain tasks and trying to manage the time better.

Yes, I do. They're all in the Firefox extension sidebar. The ones I have submitted to are checked off for each site.

You can see here there are two different modes:

Mode 1 - Most useful when submitting a single profile to many sites.

Mode 2 - Most useful when submitting many profiles to sites.

I keep all submissions in a xls sheet
it helps avoid resubmitting to same directories

    EDIT:
Chris is your directory submitter now FREE ??

I try to keep a list just so I know which sites to go back to when I'm listing for another site.

Well, I log all my submissions using the script on my directory tracker website. Was wasting a lot of time in resubmissions earlier. Excel doesn't cut it because I have multiple websites and I had to keep multiple files when I wanted to add new directories or remove the ones that changed to paid.

yea I used to keep lists of submissions too but would only keep niche directory lists now as they are harder to find
