Can G tell the difference between me logging onto my Adsense panel and an Adsense monitoring program like Revenue Checker logging onto my panel? If so, does G have a problem with that? I'm guessing that since the program runs locally on my computer that the IP addresses that get recorded at logon would be the same.
Google does not really have a problem with this. You have to be careful tho that it is not sending out the data to A third party like the software creator. Disclosing information(cpm, clicks etc) is a violation and you as the account holder are responsible for this. Make sure you get software that stays resident on your server or computer.
I'm wondering how a tech-challenged guy such as myself would know if information is passed? On the website for Revenue Checker (which I am considering purchasing), they say: "We are using Triple DES encryption for all entered variables. The Data Encryption Standard (DES) we use, was developed by an IBM team and adopted as a national standard. Triple DES is a minor variation of this standard. It is three times slower than regular DES but its is billions of times more secure. Triple DES is an excellent and reliable choice for the security needs of highly sensitive information. Data you enter into our program are only passed to your secure Google AdSense login page and back to your desktop, all through encrypted data transfer. It means, that developers of this software or no one else has access to your account or any other to this program or your account related information." Would the above (if true) fit the bill for not violating G's TOS?
