I have a new net connection at home and it has an entirely new IP address range compared to my previous connection. So I was wondering whether there would be any problem if I login to my Paypal account from this new IP address. I have heard somewhere that they may limit your account and ask for identity proofs if you login from a different IP range than you usually do. Is that true?
but your city , state will be same even if you use diff isp so its ok i looged with diff broadband no issues so far
There isn't any problem in logging with different IP. PayPal account is opened after taking persons identity into consideration and not their IP. Only logging from different country's IP will raise their eyebrows. Regards
If you are in India, never login to PayPal from an U.S IP (they just restrict your account and then you have to spend the next 30 mins with them on the phone).
That could be true, but can they still log in from other Countries IP apart from a US IP? pls say if you know.Thank you
Well for all i know, try www.sockslist.net and choose any country's IP of your choice if this is a common probleM with Indian IP. I hope this will help the DP members in Indian. Try it now
Well, if you want to log in from a different country IP then simply call and notify them once and there won't be any problem. - Mr.President -
Its fine within a country, but never login from a proxy of another country...your account will be frozen.
There's absolutely no problem. I have PayPal in the U.K and also in the U.S and if I'm in the UK sometimes I log in to the U.S. Paypal account and vise versa .... and never had any problems .... by the way, in less than 24 hours the auction begins (shameless plug ) look here | | V
There are no problems here. Both me and my friend in India access the same PayPal account quite often.
I am on the move most of the times and I use a diff ISP when I am at home and a different ISp for wireless broadband when on the move ... sometimes I even plugin my friends modem to my laptop when I need urgent access... I have logged into Pyapal from these different IPs many times ... but never faced any issue...
I don't see a problem with this. Most of are using dynamic range ISP connection. I also use few ISP in different location. Never got a problem. Thanks Blog.
When i make purchases on my account from a different ip they just call me up and ask me if I made the purchase I just tell them I did and they just say ok. -John
