Locking of domain name account by GoDaddy

After 6 days of domain name purchase from GoDaddy, they locked my account and requested for my payment method details and other documents, to be scanned and sent to them and that they have refunded my money, I should wait for 5-10 business days for the money to reflect in my credit card. When I asked them why, they said it's for security reasons. Because I bought this domain name INFOWEBSITE.NET, from NameCheap for 2 months now but has not being tampered. To avoid this type of incident occurring in the future, WHAT MUST ONE DO SO THAT GO DADDY WILL NOT LOCK THEIR ACCOUNT ( DOMAIN NAME )?. because I have prepared to start designing my website, only to receive this from GoDaddy, it's very painful and disappointing! Thanks for your feedback.Stan.

Make sure you give complete and accurate details. If you're from country A, put in your
information (e.g. address) originating from country A.

Beyond that, unfortunately not much other than using a (hopefully) more friendly domain
registrar. But whatever you do, never ever put in essentially "fake" information.

well you can still start designing your website, being locked out of your domains wont prevent you from designing your site on your local pc.

Why are you with godaddy? Why not transferr all the domains to a registrar such as namecheap.com, namecheap has the best control panel that ive ever used / seen.

its very simple send your credit card details to them, they will unlock your account.
I have faced the same with them once I send them details they have unlocked my account and added the domain to purchase basket so I can purchase it, everything went very well :)

    1. Call them and complain elegantly and explain that you need your account unlocked right now.
    2. if it doesn't work send the documents they required.

They locked his account because they suspect something fishy...
not sure why he even posted this, provide them with what they need,
but if you cant, then what do you expect dp members or godaddy to do?
If you can not verify what you submitted, then just move on....
otherwise, send them what they request, and continue onward...
