What does the locked term mean?

I have just seen a 3€ commission i earned become 'locked' please could someone explain what this is as well as the expression
"Actions lock on the 10th of the month, unless extended."

As the CJ help section is quite honestly c**p !

Locked means that that amount will be released for payment on the 17th of the month :)

Extended means it will be carried over till next month

    NEW mean well new :)

    Hope that helps

Thanks, so as long as the commission is not locked it could be taken back or canceled?

    Yes - that is correct

A lot of time companies like hostgator or other "high paying " commsions will extend it for 30 days

Ha ha this is funny lol..........

Locked means you already have it reserved for you and one day or the other they will send it to you.

Many advertiser lock the afiliate commision on th 10th which mean the afiliate gets credited actually for all his months work on the 10th.

Hope i am correct. If not please correct me

Isn't it possible for a customer to return something and ask for a refund even after the commission's locked? Wouldn't you have to give back the commission?
