    hello,
from what it seems, i am the victim of a bug in the godaddy linux hosting.
of course i used ticket system etc. but maybe i have overseen something, cause i need help asap.

i developed a website in a subfolder on my linux hosting package. i put a password on that folder so that only me can see it. when the website was ready i moved the folder to root. problem is that i did not remove the password protection and now my root is pw protected.
i can not find a way to remove the protection, there is only way to change it for folders, not for root.
now my whole website is not accessible.

did i miss something? any idea?

i need to change that asap or my rankings wil drop. another website was down just for some hours (hacked) and it took me weeks to recover.

Check your .htaccess file, you should be able to remove the protection there.
