Locked My Self out!!! Please Help

  1. #1
    I recently purchased a website from someone and when i got it, i changed the password of the cpanel. I dont know what it is. Until now, it was just remembered by my browser, but for someone reason, it made me put in a password today, and i don't know what it is. I still have access to my ftp, i just cant get into my control panel

    please help

    If your using Firefox then go to tools> Options> Security> Saved Passwords...
    It will show all of them.

    Hi,

    It might happen that the same ftp password will work for your cpanel account also.

    will contacting my the webhost work even if the cpanel is loaded straight on to my website? like to get ot my cpanel, i go to www.clonedscripts.info/cpanel

    Yes, the webhost can reset the password (make new one) and give it to you.

    The only thing is, if the hosting is in the name of the person you bought the hosting from, then the host would have to confirm it with the previous owner.
