How does AdWords determine the correct address from your Google Places account? Is it based on proximity to the search query? Source: Google AdWords Ad Extensions - Part 1 - Location Extensions
Google crawls Name, Address, Phone Number in structured format on other websites, such as SuperPages, CityVoter, Yelp and many others
Yes, this is a ranking factor for your places page: the exact NAP match on other domains. What I'm asking is...if your Places account has multiple addresses for multiple business locations, how does AdWords' Location Extensions feature determine the "correct" location to show with the ad? In other words, if you have a location in Texas and another location in the UK under the same account. How does Location Extensions decide whether to show the Texas location extension if the searcher is in...Florida?
This is a good questions. I am wondering the answer as well. I have multiple locations under the same ad group and am wondering if I enable the location extension if adwords will show the right address (I would guess that it depends on the searchers location). Some explanation around this would be great! Tim
