    I'm not going to blow you away with a fantastically persuading pitch, I'm simply unloading some old projects I no longer have any interest in - this is one of them.

    http://www.localboodle.com - I had this custom developed by a talented PHP programmer, the concept is pretty straight forward. Users are able to post local news stories to ANY given zip/post code, anywhere in the world. This is made possible by utilizing Yahoo!' API. It's a very unique service.

    The idea was to get the framework developed, then implement a whole host of new features at a later date. The framework is complete, with the basic features. The new owner is free to do as they wish with the code as all rights will be yours, as well as the domain name.

    I'll set this up on your server if required, it's very straight forward.

    Just to clarify, this is a USER POWERED news service - it DOESN'T draw in news from other sources. Users are required to post stories for there area. The original plans were to integrate this in with an iPhone app, essentially allowing folk to report on news they witness personally in a certain area.

    There is an admin back-end system integrated in with the framework.

    Would it be easy to make it so it DOES draw in from other sources? otherwise it would require a rather large user base

    Should take an experienced developer and a spare 5 minutes to implement a feature similar to or using RSS to pull news stories in from various sources.
