Hey, I have a website based on 2 hobbies that we support in our community (racing & snowmobiling). My question is: How do i get higher Page Rankings in google when someone types in our towns name?
I have a similar local site crooklyn and it is pretty much the same as for any other site, do your best to optimize the page for not only your hobbies but the local area which, in my experience, is what you want to focus on most but not entirely. Add back links where possible on other local websites, even personal sites, and directories. For years I ran mine as a sub-domain and it always did well in SERP’s for the local area. Usually local competition is a bit less.
