Hi everyone, Just wanted to share a tip that my fellow Local SEO'ers might find beneficial. If you've ever been stuck at #3-4 and can't seem to get up those last few spots, try this out: Instead of throwing more relevant PR links at the site, manually build about 10 Web 2.0 properties with relevant content, link to your money site with direct/various anchor text, and hit the Web 2.0's with tier 2 social bookmark links for quick indexing. This has brought my sites up to the #1-2 spots multiple times already. Why I think it works: Variety and power. Yes, newly made Web 2.0 properties don't have any PR power, but the Big Site behind it does (and will pass some juice to your profile). And also, you are adding in an extra type of link profile (high quality) Web 2.0 as opposed to just PR power links and mass pillow links (comments + low quality Web 2.0)... as most people do. High Quality Web 2.0's: Weebly, Wordpress, LiveJournal, Tumblr, Blogger, Squidoo, Bravenet, Webs, Jimdo, Wikispaces Tips: 1. Does not have to be quality content. Just unique and readable. Use $5 articles (500-900 words each), and post 1-2 articles per property. 2. Add authority links to each post. Especially a Wikipedia link. 3. Add an image (or images) to your posts. 4. Switch up the anchor text each time. If you are going for "New York Dentist" for example, use "New York Dentist" "dentist in New York" "top New York dentist" "New York dental practice" "visit this New York dentist website" etc. 5. Try to name your web 2.0 properties as close to your keywords as possible. Example: newyorkdentist.weebly.com, dentistinnewyork.wordpress.org, etc. That's it! Try it out and see if it works for you.
