Local Results Getting in My Way!

    Hi all,

It appears that G results for "cityname businesstype" always show that "local results for businesstype in cityname," which really screws me up.

They are apparently going by Google Maps' definition of cityname, which locates the city at a single coordinate, and shows the nearest businesses to that coordinate, leaving the other businesses within city limits to fend for themselves. Is there a way to get listed in that "Local results for..." without physically relocating the business to a coordinate closer to where G-maps thinks the city is?

I think the 'local search' algorithm is still being tweaked a lot - so there are not likely to be many people who know how to tweak back, as it were.
