I have 15 keywords whose total Local Monthly Searches is 95,000 on a BROAD Search. 10/15 of these keywords have under 50,000 competing pages when I make a "this keyword" search. The other 5 have under 100,000 competing pages. I have been studying this SEO business and then I've been getting conflicting information that tells me I should actually gague my traffic based on the EXACT Match Keywords. What do I do? This has a DRASTIC effect on my plans. If I can only expect traffic from Exact match it makes no sense for me to engage investing in this business. For Example, if it's 95,000 this is my logic for SEO Traffic/conversions 95,000 = total monthly searches -(28,500) 30% = Traffic I will lose to PPC, and Local Listings (these keywords don't have too much muddles results -------------------- 66,500 #2 Rank = 13% Of Traffic = 8645 Conversion Rate @ 2% 172 #3 Rank = 9% Of Traffic = 5985 Conversion Rate @ 2% 119 #4 Rank = 4% Of Traffic = 2660 Conversion Rate @ 2% 53 Is my logic correct? Please let me know.
